Lori Reichel is a fun and innovative health educator with over 25 years of teaching experience. The recipient of national and New York Health Education awards, her mission is to strengthen the wellness habits of young people and to help adults raise healthy children.
Due to her strong skill-set of relating with children and their caregivers, Lori created a variety of family friendly tools that increase the effectiveness of communication about puberty and adolescence, as well as other sexuality topics. These tools include:
- The TALK Puberty app (currently available on iOS products)
- The award-winning book titled, “Common Questions Children Ask About Puberty: Insights from a nationally recognized health education expert” (available in soft-cover and kindle formats).
- The TALK B4 Sex app (currently available on iOS products)
Lori has also co-authored the book “Tools for Teaching Comprehensive Human Sexuality Education: Lessons, Activities, and Teaching Strategies Utilizing the National Sexuality Education Standards” for health teachers.
Within her teaching career, Lori is currently preparing future health and physical education teachers at Western Michigan University. At Western, she is the coordinator for the Physical and Health Education Teacher Education Program and an assistant professor in the Human Performance and Health Education Department.
