Kristina Collins, M.D., FAAD, is a Harvard-trained, board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon and the co-founder/CEO of Austin Skin, a boutique dermatology practice in Austin, TX. She is a nationally renowned and award-winning skin expert and has appeared in televised media or online publications of ABC News, Fox News, KXAN, Byrdie, POPSUGAR, The List, and The Wall Street Journal. Dr. Collins regularly shares her expertise as an invited speaker at national and international conferences as well as in research publications. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
Dr. Collins has lectured and presented original research at local, regional, and national conferences on topics such as surgery techniques, rare skin disorders, and the representation of dermatology in the national media. She has written articles and news stories for ABC and has served as a dermatology expert for video and written news published by ABC News in New York. She contributed to and wrote stories for Good Morning America and World News. She currently represents the American Board of Dermatology on the American Family Physician’s Editorial Advisory Board. She has been an active member of the Women’s Dermatologic Society and served on the Young Physicians’ Task Force, the Communications Committee, and as an invited participant for the executive board. She served as chairperson of the editorial board for the WDS. She is also an invited member of the Patient Advocacy Committee of the American Academy of Dermatology. Her college, Arizona State, recognized her career in 2015 with an award for the top 20 distinguished alumni.
