What’s Included BLOOM’s Curriculum
The BLOOM Curriculum was developed with health behavior theory, functional information, and a skills-based approach as founding principles. It meets the National Health Education Standards (NHES), aligns to the CDC's Health Education Curriculum Analysis Tool (HECAT), and the CDC's National Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System (YRBSS). With the inclusion of mindfulness into each lesson, our curriculum supports social and emotional learning, while the skills based approach supports student centered learning. The BLOOM Curriculum is inclusive of relevant socio-cultural and socio-political perspectives that shape and affect health and well-being of students. BLOOM’s Year 1 Middle School Curriculum contains 50 complete lessons divided into 5 Units with 10 lessons each.
