Kara Haug

As founder and partner of Reframing our Stories, Kara’s goal and passion is for people to have brave and caring conversations about their bodies, health and safety, and sexuality to enable self-awareness, growth, empathy, openness, and positive relationships. The company has 3 areas of focus: families because parents are often our first sex educators, schools where we learn the basics or in some cases, all we know, and churches where our relationship with our sexuality is often defined. Kara is an ASSECT certified sexuality educator who holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Hope College in Holland, MI, a masters in theological studies from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, CA, and a postgraduate certificate in sexual health education and counseling from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. She lives in California with her family and is the mother of two.
